Originally composed for treble voices, this setting of the Paschal Troparion (theme song) "Christ is risen," is a miniature masterpiece typifying Kastalsky's style. It features interesing voice leading, derived from Russian folk heterophony, and rhythmic patterns reminiscent of festive bell-ringing. This arrangement for mixed chorus will brighten any Easter service.
