Boris Ledkovsky (1894-1975)

LEDKOVSKY, Boris Mikhailovitch (1894-1975) The son of a priest, he directed a church choir from the age of fourteen. He studied at the ecclesiastical school in Novocherkassk, at the Modern School in Rostov-on-the-Don and at the Moscow Conservatory. He served in General Wrangel's forces and left Russia with the White Army. From 1951 on, he directed the choir of New York's Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign and taught at St. Vladimir's Seminary.
